welcome to
LIGURIA
Italy's famous crescent moon-shaped region on the Mediterranean coast, where the Alps and the Apennines cascade into the sea, is defined by its sinuous, giddy landscapes.
The region of Liguria is shaped by its extreme topography, its daily life is one of ascents and descents, always in the presence of a watery horizon.
Milan MXP is the closest international airport. It is 190km from Genoa, the main city Genoa has its own airport which serves the region.
Best time for a trip: ideally from April to October.
What to expect: city tours, hiking, pesto lessons, sea, sightseeing, boat trips.
fun facts
The 5 little towns generally named “Cinque Terre” (literally, “five lands”) are what makes Liguria famous all over the world. They have been designated as UNESCO heritage sites since 1997.
Genoa is a city that ruled over one of the finest maritime empires in medieval Europe. Genoa has the biggest historical center in Europe. The land of Liguria is so difficult to farm that vineyards are worked with helicopters.
