Street art: the second stop of our search for the most beautiful walls in Italy
A few months ago we started a journey to discover the beauty in the streets of Italy, as a way to discover the present culture, the values held close by the city’s inhabitants. Street art is always about sending a message.
We started our journey in Naples. Now we are moving North, to the city of Bologna. This city as always been considered very vocal and passionate. Young and revolutionary.
So let’s continue the journey in Italian street art in the orange streets of Bologna!
When in Bologna
We selected a few and made a top 5 with the best picks! Subscribe to our newsletter to see the rest of the rank!
N.5 The philosopical tree
The painting is inspired by the philosophical tree, a symbolic element of the 15th century alchemists, that represented a source of life and protection, a place of transformation and renewal. On both sides, an egg and a mineral symbolize organic and inorganic matter.
N.4 Human Nature
From the artist’s words: “the artwork explores the nature of the human being, it plays with imperfections and asymmetries looking for a non rhetoric expressivity in order to speak directly to our more instinctual, more animal part”
N.3 Lightness
How to express human emotions and feelings? A simple way to represent the hard work of lightness in our daily life, an oxymoron that makes perfect sense: a heavy elephant flying thanks to air ballons.
N.2 The reality of plastic
One of the plagues of our times: plastic in the sea pollouding our waters, killing fishes, sea animals and birds.
N.1 Latin America history
In the university street there is this work that collects the history of Latin America in all its complexity. This artist deals in particular with South America and here in Bologna he has provided a cross-section of this land.
