A guide to Easter’s essentials

Our best wishes for the Easter holidays!

We are about to celebreate Easter in the most Italian fashion! Discover the three main elements in Italy’s Easter celebrations: here’s a little guide! Check our past blog post to know more about Italian traditions for these holidays

Via Crucis

Almost each Italian town has its own version of this religious event. By recreating the walk Jesus did with the cross, each town delineate a journey with 14 stops, and in each one the faithfuls pray and celebrate. In Rome it ends by the Colosseum and it’s -almost- been this way since 1670.

Easter eggs

A classic Easter tradition: chocolate eggs, decorated eggs, are donated to children and between families as well. Bakeries and shops experiment with creativity each year, with colors and new tastes, with high-quality chocolate or interesting fillings. And of course, often with a little surprise on the inside for the kids: small toys, jewelry, stuffed animals.

The dove

Since the Middle Age, this is one of the Italian Easter desserts: like the Panettone during Christmas, the Colomba (=dove) is a big sweet bread, enriched with orange zest, almonds and nuts. Its shape has the resemblance of the peace dove.
It’s soft and delicious and can be found everywhere in the country.

The office will remain closed on Monday,  April 1st. Keep in touch!
Happy Easter!

I really enjoyed what you have accomplished here. The outline is elegant, your written content is stylish, yet you seem to have acquired a bit of apprehension over what you aim to convey next. Undoubtedly, I will revisit more frequently, just as I have been doing nearly all the time in case you sustain this upswing.
